Smart Invoice lives up to its name by being extremely minimal. Creating invoices is one tap away and you can have an inventory of items and clients to pick from – quickly. It’s relatively easy to create invoices too as the interface is devoid of any confusing option. One of the things Smart Invoice does is to show you all the invoices on the dashboard (main screen). Some of you might be turned off by the minimalism because the app looks like a bare-bones version but it definitely is a great invoicing app for all the quick invoices you need to send. Zoho Invoice
Zoho Invoice is pretty standard and aimed at a broad section of businesses. Smart Invoice would work if you’re a freelancer or a small startup but it’s apps like Zoho that fit a bigger business. Zoho Invoice is good in terms of the interface, of the UX which enables faster and smoother invoicing, and behind the scenes, your invoices are taken care of wonderfully well. You’ll need a Zoho account to get the full benefit of the app and if you’re just looking for something simple (as an example, you just need a quick app to make invoices and send them), Zoho Invoice is an overkill.

Invoice Maker
If you asked me to pick my favorite on this list, that would be Invoice Maker. There are a lot of features I found that are really simple, elegant and, most importantly, useful. What I liked about Invoice Maker is the intuitive and quick workflow. On some of the invoice apps, you had to create a client and a product before you could launch into creating an invoice. On Invoice Maker, you create clients and products on-the-fly while you make your first invoice. Invoice Maker also features a handy preview tool to check how your invoice looks. There’s just one thing to add: invoice themes! Right now, Invoice Maker is my choice of making invoices quickly when I’m away from my computer.

Invoice2go
The fourth on the list is a considerably popular choice for a lot of businesses. Invoice2go is feature-rich (although limited in the free edition), comes with a very clean and beautiful interface and lets you create quick invoices. In many ways, this is similar to Zoho Invoice or even Invoice Maker and I like the fact that the UX on Invoice2go is “light”. Expenses, estimates, credits, reports… everything is about one tap away and the app is a delight to use.

Invoice2pdf
I shouldn’t really be including Invoice2pdf on a list of invoicing apps that boast of a plethora of features. But the ingenuity of Invoice2pdf lies in precisely the lack of any feature in this app. Invoice2pdf is perhaps the leanest, simplest, and the most skeletal invoicing app that you’ll ever use. All it has is fields to enter and it generates a PDF, saved in your Downloads folder. No emails, no list of clients / products, no reports, nothing. But it just works perfectly if you’re looking to create an impromptu invoice sans all the fanfair.

I’ve tried several invoicing apps so far and I finally ended up using some new one – it’s called Invoicing & Estimates. It’s a paid app, but it’s quite cheap. As a matter of fact, I think it’;s the cheapest Invoicing app on the market (compared with apps of the same caliber of course). It has many features and what I really like about it is how easy it is to use it. In a few minutes, my invoice is done.

Being a small scale sole trader I needed an invoice app. in keeping with the simplicity of my requirements and I.T. skills …both quite minimal. Chandra’s review of, invoice 2p.d.f. was perfectly correct.I used the app . with ease and the invoice was paid the next day b.t.w. A great app for a’ no nonsense ‘ result ,and an excellent service this site provided in the process.

I like most Invoice2pdf apps! As a business man, i always keep installed the Invoice2pdf. Because it is very useful for me. Sometimes i need to email my invoices in pdf format. As a result, in like the app!
